Doncaster Week – 26

Hey Yall!

It has been a good week.

Highlights;

-got given authentic Indian fried rice dinner while door knocking. Shoutout Sher.

-George, new friend. From Romania. Has been searching for the truth. Super cool

-Lots of fun conversations with strangers

-Almost got ran down by Chavs (thugs)

-Had a meal appointment every single day  this week (shoutout Doncaster members)

Speaking of meal appointments. I am working my best to not gain weight. So what I have been doing to circumvent and navigate around the challenge of 1. Needing to lose weight. Still having a good relation with the ward, by showing appreciation for the food they give us, by eating it.

So what I have done, is the days that we have a meal appointment. I do not eat breakfast or lunch. This leaves me with enough room to fully enjoy the food, and show my appreciation for the members.

The only downside, is that i am highly unlikely to hit my protein goal for the day. But. Sacrifices must be made.

Other than that dilemma which I have had to live with this week. It has been great. This upcoming week, there is only 2 days we do not have a meal appointment. So I will have 2 days that I can hit my protein goal. That’s a plus. Started doing this when I picked up my trainee. Started at 230, last week was 227. This week 226. So we are getting there. Goal is below 200. I haven’t been below that in a looong time. So that is the aspiration.

Had our first mentor meeting. For my trainee ( new missionary, not greenie) was pretty lit. We had like 12 people confirm for church, but then only 3 showed up. But thats okay. We will get them this week 🙂

Spiritual thougt:

I have been reading Mosiah. It is very good. The story of Abinadi is one that every missionary can look to. He converted only one person. Alma, but look at the good that comes from that one person. That also relates into finding the One, the lost sheep, the chosen one, the prodigal son. All of those topics/stories. So focus on one person you can help. Whether that be a friend, family member, co-worker, or a stranger you have seen around town.

I invite you all to keep this commitment to help that one person. I will follow up next week. I better hear some stories from yall 🙂

Things are amazing in Doncaster. Gotta get off the train so I can go buy food to cook the district dinner, chicken parmesean Alfredo. (Pics will be on my google photos, join to see what im doing)

I love you all!
