Doncaster – Week 31

Hey Yall!

It has been a GREAT week 🙂

First off, we went to the temple on Thursday. That was amazing, got to see our friend Travis (new member we baptized) do baptisms for the dead, and I got to do confirmations for him, all his names were family names that he got doing family history with one of the ward members. So thats amazing

We put our friend Matthew on date for the 15th this month! He is feeling a little nervous about it. But we will be having some lessons with him to qualm those nerves.

On Friday we also had to go to Leeds in the morning for a doctor’s appointment (Elder Jepson has bad chest and back acne) but england is good for skincare, medication wise at least. Even if the water sucks. So we were blessed to be able to have some Chick Fil A for lunch 😉

It was still a great day. Visited alot of refferalls and old friends.

Earlier in the week, Elder Jepson has found a guitar for sale, in one of our favorite towns to visit! HEXTHORPE!  Its pretty run down. Lots of migrants, but they are great. He got a steal of a deal too.

I love talking with people about their beliefs. It is so interesting to see how people have come to the conclusions that they have. Many people just dont think alot about it. Which tends to make them real nervous once we bring up hard questions. But it is amazing to see the difference that the gospel makes in people’s lives.

Also I almost bought a double barrel shotgun. See pic below. Bought old hotwheels instead 🙂

I have just gotten back into the middle/later  chapters of Alma. And I am continuously fascinated by Captain Moroni. He is such an amazing figure. Along with Alma too, we do not know where Alma was buried. All we know is that once he was old and had given all the guidance he could to his son. Proclaiming the doctrine of the Resurrection. He just dipped. He was for sure brought up to God/translated. Also reading about the people who dissent from the gospel, how much more wicked and perverse they are is shockingly comparable to today too.

I would like you all to pray this week. I have been lowkey slacking on it. And I know it brings blessings, and peace. We could all use more peace in our lives. You are loved, you are cherished, you are seen. Remember that.

Quote of the week

“If you spend your whole life raking leaves, you will never experience the joy of jumping into them. Invite all to jump into the joy of Christ”

-Elder Berky
